Adaptive Education began with a simple mission: connect families with exceptional educators who understood that every child and every family is different.
Our earliest work centered around private education, tutoring, homeschool support, and microschools. Over time, the families who trusted us with their children’s education began asking us another question:
“Can you help us find someone for our home?”
The answer was yes.
Our network grew from educators and nannies to housekeepers, family assistants, chefs, estate managers, and other exceptional household professionals.
Today, Adaptive Education is a boutique household staffing and education placement agency built around the same philosophy we started with: there is no universal definition of the “right” fit. The right person is the one who fits yourfamily and home.
We listen closely, recruit intentionally, and approach every placement with discretion, care, and a focus on lasting compatibility.

Our Founders
Anja Sherry
Anja Sherry was raised internationally by Swedish-American journalists, spending her early years in Hong Kong before living in Washington, DC, and eventually Florida. Her global upbringing shaped a deep appreciation for culture, adaptability, and human connection. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Rollins College, holds a state teaching license, and completed graduate certification in K–6 Montessori education.
With over a decade of experience across Montessori, public Title I schools, and private education, Anja has always been drawn to environments that support the whole child—and the people surrounding them. During the pandemic, while running micro learning pods in Miami Beach, she met Gabrielle. The two quickly began sharing resources, ideas, and a passion for thoughtfully connecting exceptional educators with the children and families who needed them most.
As families’ needs evolved, so did the work—and so did Anja’s own family. She welcomed her daughter in the fall of 2021, just as Adaptive Education began to blossom beyond education and into the home.
Today, Anja works closely with families, primarily in South Florida and New York, creating highly personalized education and household placements rooted in trust, discretion, and long-term fit.
Gabrielle Bachow
Gabrielle Bachow began her career as a first-grade teacher at a charter school in Harlem before moving into strategy, operations, and leadership across nonprofits and some of the country’s largest public school systems. She served as Chief of Staff within the NYC Department of Education’s School Planning and Development Division and as Special Assistant to the Superintendent of Boston Public Schools.
In 2020, Gabrielle launched FTK Consulting, where her work has focused on creating unique educational opportunities for students and elevating the teaching profession. An educational concierge at heart, she has a natural talent for connecting people, resources, and ideas in ways that make an impact.
That same year, Gabrielle connected with Anja while she was supporting micro learning pods in Miami Beach. What began as sharing resources and collaborating on education placements quickly revealed how well their strengths complemented one another. Together, they expanded their work from educators and childcare into thoughtful sourcing across the entire home.
Gabrielle holds a B.S. in Business with a minor in Chinese Language from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. Today, she lives in Miami Beach with her husband, their two children, and their Bernedoodle, Rocky.
